So you want to support Taína Asili…

Taína Asili y La Banda Rebelde will be releasing our debut album War Cry this March, and will then be launching the “War Cry Tour 2010″ this spring across the US and Canada. We are looking to build a grassroots network of support for our music and social change work where ever we go via our Street Team program. Street Teams are small groups of volunteers in various cities committed to promoting the music and concerts of TABR. They build up buzz about upcoming album releases, and get the word out about TABR concerts. Some Street Teams help to find potential venues for TABR to perform at, radio stations to play TABR music and retail locations to sell TABR music. Street Team members get to all the nooks and crannies that TABR can’t otherwise reach.
AND IN RETURN TABR THANKS STREET TEAM MEMBERS with things such as FREE concert entry, CD’s, T-shirts and stickers.
A Street Team might:
-post posters and pass out flyers in their area for TABR concerts and CD releases
-post TABR concerts and CD releases on local listserves
-Write about TABR in a blog
-create a relationship with a local venue or college for a TABR performance
-Write reviews of War Cry and/or one of our shows for a local or college paper
-bring 5 or more friends to a concert
If you are interested in becoming a part of one of our Street Teams please contact us by filling out this form:
Here are some other ways that you can support TABR even without joining one of our Street Teams:
-Spread the word about a TABR concert in your area
-Call or email your local college and indie-friendly radio stations and request that they play music from our War Cry CD
- Join our Myspace, Facebook and Twitter pages and invite others to do the same
-If you or your friends work at a store, café, bar, club, art space, or coffeehouse that allows its employees to choose the overhead music, pop in War Cry
-Play War Cry between artists at a local concert or open mic
